Peace is but a shadow of death, Desperate to forget its painful past. Though we hope for promising years. After shedding a thousand tears, Yesterday's sorrow constantly nears. And while the moon still shines blue, By dawn, it will turn to scarlet hue.

Rig - I Love Clock Day

"You love it a bit to much."

date: August 15, 2008

Either way it was fun to listen to, started of nice and slow and then the voice was good, even if it was a little over excited.
Whatever it was a nice small listen.

Final Fantasy: The Clash

"Another well done one."

date: March 28, 2008

I still love this style of mixing themes together. This one worked perfectly like the others. I like how you started with V which I didn't expect. I was actually thinking you might make one of the basic fights.
The song names for those games are not really impressive, I think they are just 'battle 1' etc. so you don't need to worry about them.

Like with the previous work this mixed them together well and I enjoyed it and downloaded. Keep up the good work.

Rpg maker Battle 1 Remix

"Enjoyable."

date: March 20, 2008

The instruments used work well to create a classic battle style theme. I find it has a slight simialrity with one of the main boss themes on Dark Chronicle and a similar theme to a normal battle of Kingdom Hearts.

Author's Response:

I've never heard of dark chronicle and i have never played kingdom hearts so it was completely accidental.

Run Away!

"Sounds kind of like midi."

submission: Run Away!

More like a random stream of notes, but as a first piece in 10 mins I can see it being ok. You should experiment with the different tones in each instrument and mix them together to make it flow rather than stay at one single pitch.

Midnight Ramblings

"The opening was good."

submission: Midnight Ramblings
date: March 12, 2008

However this was lost at 0:44, the techno style instrument introduced there did not fit in the piece at all, and only made the whole piece worse.
However the circus style theme that came in at 0:16 was good, and this worked well. At 1:53, the plesant sound introduced was very good.

If you re-submitted this with taking out the techno instrument or altering it, then the piece will be much better.

Thanks ! I'll try replacing synth lead with brass or something softer, or play with it and see what I get.

Urban Wasteland

"Has potential in flash movies."

submission: Urban Wasteland

The use of instruments made it nice and calm especially in the beginning 10 - 40 seconds. Then it bouilt up and held an overall different style. Very enjoyable.

"One of the more random songs I have heard."

Fun and thrilling, the way you mixed them together created a style that I enjoy, and the songs that you chose to mix are actually good and work together like this.
Amusing and enjoyable, I liked it.

If you listen hard enough you can hear the vocals from stardust crazy.
And if you play it backwards, it syncs up with the wizard of oz! =D

A Descent Into Darkness

"That was very nice."

date: March 12, 2008

Though the opening was a bit to quiet, and so was the closing.

I could see the Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver style behind some of this music, a good style especially if you are planning to make something with Vampires. The drum and the instrument behind it works perfectly together. The main problem is how the opening and start does last to long.

I enjoyed it overall.

March 13, 2008

Author's Response:

Thanks for the review. Glad it at least conjures up images of blood sucking monsters! ;).

The intro and outro are indeed long, they're intended to establish a desolate sounding mood prior to the introduction of the drums. I realize it won't be to a lot of peoples taste, but I like trying to meld soundscapeish ambient sort of stuff into other styles of music. Experimentation is how one learns!

Cheers,
~Daniel

Ripping - VX

"Works well."

submission: Ripping - VX
date: March 12, 2008

I especially like the opening 4 seconds, it fits perfectly in with the main theme.
The main theme itslef is perfectly looped throughout the remainder of the song, and it changes slightly with the electric sound in the background, this keeps the interest rather than loosing it via repetitive sounds.
Good work, I myself would think this has a slight futuristic feel to it.

March 12, 2008

Author's Response:

Thank you. I'm thinking on expanding the actual song longer than what it really it. Maybe include some new transitioning as well.
